Sarah Palin, former Alaskan Governor, and vice presidential candidate
Sarah Palin's conscience might a bit peaked at this moment following the shooting of Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
Sarah Palin has been taking many lashes on the internet as some have been saying the first female vice-presidential nominee of the Republican Party might be responsible for the shoo-ting of Arizona Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was maimed yesterday, outside a Tucson grocery store. She was hosting her first "Congress on Your Corner" event when a gunman maimed her in the head.
The representative was taken to the University Medical Center, Tucson Arizona. University Medical Center's Dr. Peter Rhee said that the facility received 10 patients in all. One died (a 9-year-old child) and the others are in critical condition.
Rhee told the Arizona Republic that Giffords was shot in the head, "through and through," and the bullet passed through her brain.
Democrat representative Gabrielle Giffords was apparently on Sarah Palin's "Target List". A list of 20 politicians that were targeted with rifle-sights on a website last year called takebackthe20.com. The web site is currently offline, but a Google cache search revealed the following:
20 House Democrats from districts we carried in 2008 voted for the health care bill
It's been six months since President Obama signed his health care bill into law. Despite overwhelming public dislike of Obamacare, we were told that Washington knows best and there was nothing to worry about. Nancy Pelosi said Congress had to pass the bill so that Americans could "find out what is in it." We found out that it's even worse than we feared.
Join me in standing against those who stood with Obama and Pelosi in voting for this disastrous bill. The Democrats from 20 districts we carried in 2008 voted for Obamacare. Now we can vote against them.
Let's replace them with good conservatives who will vote to repeal and replace Obamacare with patient-centered, results-driven, free market reform that provides solutions to people of all income levels without bankrupting our country.
Let's reclaim the power of the people from those who disregarded the will of the people.
Don't get demoralized, get organized. It's time to take a stand.
The website also is claimed to have carried the following image. But has only asked visitors to vote the 20 democrats out of office. Can picture speak louder than words?
According to an article written at Politico, an aide to Sarah Palin said images of cross-hairs were never meant to evoke violence, in the Palin camp's first extended comment on yesterday's attack.
