Cedella Marley, daughter of reggae legend the late Bob Marley, has secured a deal with PUMA to design, and create the Jamaican Team uniforms, including podium and ceremony wear, for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Usain Bolt has said that the collaboration of PUMA and a Bob Marley kid who is Jamaican in the design is a good one as it will show the spirit of Jamaica.
"Designing for Usain Bolt and the Jamaican team I just have to make sure my fabric choices are right, they have to be comfortably in it. I would like to feel as though they are in their own skin", Ms. Marley said.
"We both break records," Marley told The Associated Press in a telephone interview. "Marleys. Bolt. Legendary."
According to her website, cedellamarleydesign.com, she is the C.E.O. of Tuff Gong International , wife, mother of three, an author, and a clothing designer.
PUMA has sponsored the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA), which is the governing body for Track and Field in Jamaica, and the Jamaica Olympic Association, since 2002.
