Rihanna's new music video for the song S&M has been having a lot of publicity, and it might not necessarily the type of publicity the artist might need at this point in her career.
According to the website Radaronline.com, Rihanna's has twitter abuzz with accusations that she has ripped-off famed photographer David LaChapelle in music video, S&M.
The music video apparently carries what some consider similarities to the work of LaChapelle. The video which premiered on February 1, 2011, has been causing tongues to wag all over the place, and its been banned in 11 countries, because of its "sexual connotations".
Rihanna video was directed by Melina Matsoukas, who has produced an endless list of videos for a number of major R&B and Hip Hop artists. Video include "Money Maker" - Ludacris feat. Pharrell; "Dangerous" - Ying Yang Twins feat. Wyclef Jean; "Green Light" - Beyoncé; "Hold It Don't Drop It" - Jennifer Lopez; "I Look To You" - Whitney Houston; "Rude Boy" - Rihanna and many others.
Youtube has deemed the video "inappropriate for some users," one therefore has to verify that one is 18 and over before being allowed to watch the video.
David LaChapelle is also a popular director of music video as he has worked with the likes of Enrique Iglesias, Rihanna, Elton John, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston an the list goes on.
