With the assistance of Rev. Pauline Rawlins, co-pastor of Faith Temple Ministries International Church, Roebuck Street, The Human Empowerment and Development Society will be coordinating a high powered women's conference on March 31, 2012 at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Conference Centre, Two Mile Hill, St. Michael from 9.00am-12.30pm.
Our special guest speaker will be Veronica Petrucci, from the USA. She will be supported by a number of local, gifted speakers who will address several burning issues affecting Barbadian women.
The 2012 Women Empowerment Conference will seek to improve relationships in the family, the church and in the community. It will be geared to the single and married woman, the housewife, professional woman, the church and the un-churched.
This conference will ultimately assist women in improving their relationships with their spouses, children and in the community and we truly believe that the women in your congregation will benefit from this exercise.
To ensure this is a success, however, we are inviting you to coordinate a group of women from your assembly to attend this conference. We are kindly asking your church to either 1) sponsor a minimum of five (5) women or 2) pay first and let them reimburse your church. For every ten (10) persons registering, we will offer you a complimentary ticket.
The price of the conference is a mere $40.00 per person in advance and $50.00 at the door. If you can send the cheques to us by February 29, 2012, we appreciate your kind cooperation in this regard as we would like to limit the number to around three hundred (300) women and also to ensure that we pay for the technical aspects of this event by the deadlines we have been set.
