The electrifying quarter-final match England vs. Germany, has seen a goal by Frank Lampard being denied by FIFA's line man after television reply showed that the football had crossed the goal line by a good foot and a half.
Germany scored two goals by England's two, one being denied, in the first half of the match. Germany within the first half has had 42% of possession, whereas England has secured 58% of the possession.
Germany scored its first two goals at the 20th and 32nd minutes by Klose and Podolski, respectively. England would later secure its goal within the 37th minute by Upson's header.
England would then be denied a goal in the 38th minute by Lampard as the assistant referee denied the Chelsea midfielder's goal.
These two teams have have controversial goals in 1966, 1970, and 1990.
In total Germany and England have met 31 times. The Germans have won ten, England fifteen, and there has been six draws.
