The Secret to Oprah Winfrey's Success

Oprah Winfrey is one of the richest, if not the richest black women in the world. Oprah through her show, "The Oprah Winfrey Show", wields tremendous power and influence worldwide.

Oprah is now 55 years old and has recently announced that she will be bringing the show to an end, when the 25th season draws to a close on September 9, 2011.

History of Oprah

Oprah Winfrey started her broadcasting career at 17 years old, after being hired by WVOL radio in Nashville. She attended Tennessee State University, where she majored in Speech Communications and Performing Arts.

In 1976, she joined WJZ-TV news as a co-anchor, and in 1978 as talk-show co-host of WJZ-TV's "People Are Talking,".

In January 1984, she hosted WLS-TV's "AM Chicago," a local talk show. "AM Chicago" then grew in its popularity, and in September 1985 it was renamed "The Oprah Winfrey Show."

Oprah Winfrey was named one of the 100 Most Influential People of the 20th Century by Time magazine, and in 1998 received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Reasons for Oprah's Success.

Whether Oprah knows it or not, God has been the chief reason for her success. It is then only obvious that Oprah is also the reason for her success, because it has been her hard work, and dedication throughout the many years, where many might have given up she has persevered.

On researching the lady, this is obviously a very strong lady, who to this day I believe very few understand the strength of person in the form of Oprah.

This has been formulated by the obstacles which she has encountered, which have strengthen her, and made her the person she is today.

This is the reason why sometimes God allows persons to go through certain hardships so as to make them better human beings, and to position them for the awesome plans which God has for that person.

Oprah's success it seems, has also come from the strict nature of her father who helped in mounding her into the person she is today.

The success seems also to be due to the fact that although she has been successful she doesn't flaunt it, and sometimes behave in a down to earth manner. Many would not believe she is a billionaire if one wasn't told, as some billionaires make it known to their status of their wealth.

Oprah has also concocted a formula where she has the best of the best or the crème de la crème, on her show. Therefore one can always expect a high quality show, which can be easily labeled PG13.

These are some of the reasons for Oprah's success, and may she continue to grow from strength to strength, but most importantly may she come to an understanding of Jesus, as success is nothing without knowing Jesus as God.
